Reviews The only word that can describe last night is "perfection". AXE set up one hell of a show and like always O.A.R. delivered. Great setlist, great crowd, great everything. I feel very lucky that I was in attendance and I can't wait until AXE releases the footage they shot. Awesome -bfreddy4 October 20, 2010
First found out about the show right here on oarsa.org's news section. Was lucky enough to get tickets at one of the AXE "drops" a week beforehand, driving down from Milwaukee. Drove down and got in line at about 5:00pm, so stood in line for approximately four hours, completely worth it. There were at least 100 people before me in line, but I was lucky enough to get in, as the ticket didn't promise entry.

Anyway, the venue was so awesome. The Wrigleyville area in general is such a great spot. Bars, restaurants, plenty of things to do, and then this sick little venue right in the middle of it. First big surprise, open bar when we got in, provided by AXE. They also had free Rice Krispy Treats, t-shirts, people taking pictures, etc. It was the real deal as far as I was concerned. Second somewhat surprise. The venue was perfect for the situation. Even when I was all the way back, I felt like I was right next to Benj, Marc, Jerry, and Rich. There really weren't any "bad seats". One of the best parts of the concert was realizing the crowd was awesome. They were all great O.A.R. fans and loved every minute of the show.

And onto the show itself (the best part!) The entire band minus Marc started to play the City on Down intro. Knew something was up, because that rarely happens, right? Screen near the stage cuts to Marc literally walking out of one of the nearby bars and on his way to the stage. You could tell it wasn't fake either, because 1) he had his earphones ready 2) he was saying hi to the people that unfortunately couldn't get in (still gave them free Rain or Shine copies). So he walks right in and they rock out COD. Gosh, it was spectacular.

The guy from Cool Kids (Chuck) on What is Mine was awesome. He did his freestyle right where Marc has in the past, totally unexpected. Reminded me very much of Spearhead and Ordinary Peoples back in the day. Then the Bucket Boys (the sick 4-piece drum group from Chicago who do all those tricks playing on the buckets) on Lay Down. Sick. Right during the usual drum solo. They started then Chris chimed in with his set, and so did Mikel. Just amazing. There were intros I hadn't heard before for About an Hour Ago, Night Shift, and Hey Girl. They were awesome. Also, Light Switch Sky is becoming a great song to hear live. I also love Over and Over, and Marc made it well known again how much he love playing the song.

Okay, Asher Roth on Poker. Disgusting. Coolest thing I've ever seen. Best way to end the night. He threw down a freestyle that was off the hook, once again similar to Ordinary Peoples and Spearhead back in the day on Poker, especially with Marc doing his verses too. It's just so awesome to see something out of the norm they usually do and see the guys having a great time playing it. I had a such a great time, I feel like this will not be duplicated - the venue, the crowd, the guests. It was so great. O.A.R., AxeMusic, the Metro, the crowd, and the guests really made this happen and I am thankful I was able to be there.

Can't wait to see them again and hear the new studio album!

Unreal show put on by AXE and OAR, got the VIP tickets and got in line around 7 was within the first 10 people. Was standing about 2 rows straight in front of Marc, just awesome energy the whole show. The crowd was great as well. Cant wait for the new album. -Untitled12 October 20, 2010
