Reviews What can I say, Red Rocks was one hell of a venue! The design of the place couldn't be any better, plenty of room to move around and dance, a perfect slope to see over the people in the row in front of you. Kelley James and his freestyles with ideas from the audience made for a great opener. Soja was great as well, much of the band would make an appearance durring O.A.R.'s set. Revisited opener was classic, a rare appearance of Are You Low (you could hear the guys sound checking the song from the parking lot), and digging the Get By tag during Lay Down. The return of The Fallout was an exciting surprise, especially with the Horns. The Soja horn section played on King giving the song the nice and full horn sound similar to that of the album version. The highlight to me was the horn superjam on Anyway. 5 horn players lined up each playing their own solo, ending with Jerry of course. The main set seemed to never end, and this was the longest show I have seen, 133 minutes I believe. Changing the Black Rock lyrics to "Red Rocks" was great and City On Down with Jerry playing somewhere in the crowd was the perfect way to top the evening off. Crazy seeing a band in a venue of this size and seeing them the next day at a tiny little place such as the Fox in Boulder. Hoping to return to these Red Rocks very soon! -mtjacobson564 April 13, 2012
