Live O.A.R. |
Reviews This was my first time seeing the boys in over 4 years. Unfortunately they don't come to Texas much so it's way too few and far between for me, these days. I thought the pick your own set concept was cool and not. I knew the rarities would never make the cut and it was weird basically knowing what songs they were going to play beforehand but it was still fun. I was pleased to see that they added some songs to the voted ones too. I was most happy with Untitled. I haven't heard it enough live and it just missed the vote by one song, so that was cool. First time hearing Peace live (absolutely love that one) and also Favorite Song, so that was cool. A real nice mix on the votes for our show, all considering. I was digging the trumpet player. Nice addition to the live sound. I still don't overly love Michael Paris but I've grown to accept him over the years. As usual Jerry was the highlight of the show. For a fan vote show I was disappointed they pulled the City on Down/Delicate Few half and half. I was really wanting to hear full versions of both songs. Poker was relatively short compared to most versions I've heard over the years, so that was a bit of a bummer too, but all in all, this was a really fun show. The crowd was great - the weather was perfect. Getting to be outside in a t shirt in February jamming to O.A.R. is a beautiful thing. I wish they played down this way more often, but it's always great to see the guys. It was a blast with good friends, and that's all you can ask for! The opener was pleasant too. They reminded me of The Head and the Heart. -sweartoyoutrue February 21, 2016
