Live O.A.R. |
Reviews After a brilliant warm-up by Allen Stone and his band, O.A.R. really brought their A game tonight. Loved the intro/opener to One Shot, and of course the killer intro to This Town. The best song of the night had to be I Will Find You. The song was mixed perfectly, and the energy of that song was great from beginning to end. More solos from Jon Lampley than Jerry this show, but that's not so bad because Jon is the man! Before the show, we saw Marc and the guys doing their meet and greet and were able to sneak a high five from Marc. He went out of his way to make sure he gave us a high five. What a genuine guy. Anyway, great crowd and great weather. Can't wait to see them in Charlotte Wednesday! -tman1744 August 24, 2015
I Will Find You was indeed superb. Had only heard it live in 2013, when they were still doing a lot of working on it, and it felt like it dragged a little then. Not so now, sounded fantastic.
I said to my wife right after Shattered "OK, time for something rare now". Nice to be right once in a while! Wish they'd come back next year on not a school night though. Seems Raleigh gets the short end of the stick with these Sunday shows. -coogerbait August 25, 2015
Show #16 and I wasn't feeling so hot, but I powered through. It seems Richard also had food poisoning, but played a rock concert, so I would not have had an excuse. I Will Find You and Anyway (strong dueling from Jerry and Jon) were highlights for me. Was hoping to hear Almost Easy because it looked and sounded great on one of the TourGigs livestreams earlier in the week. Can't win em all. I certainly appreciate these talented fellas always coming back to the area each and every year. Not a full crowd, but a pretty engaged and strong singalong crowd. It is fun to watch these guys continue to evolve and inspire over the years. -todd1aj August 25, 2015
