Reviews Great show! Last night's set list was in my opinion a little better but a great show! I got all of OAR's autographs except Marc's but I'll get his another time. Crowd for the most part was good, but of course there are some weirdos and trouble makers but crowd knew most of the songs and was loud when prompted to sing. Glad they played some more off their 34th & 8th album like dareh meyod and old man time and I'm loving the new song Inside Out. great catchy song! I submitted the set list, so it should be populated by tomorrow afternoon EST. Cheers everyone! -Program Director Sign Guy -scanio4212 September 8, 2012
Oveall, a stellar show. I was only anticipating this show since late March and then through all the passing months since it was postponed in April to this date. So my expectations were quite high. I was a bit bummed that the horns did not make this show, as they sound added to the mix is impeccable and Ive gotten acustomed to it. But, nothing wrong with a classic OAR lineup plus Mike. Note: the sound at the Calvin is pretty bad. Too bassy and from where we were sitting the words were inaudible at times. I did find this problem less obvious the closer I got to the stage though. Zion was a surprise opener, I was banking on a Mr. Brown, but definatley cool to hear. I like the pace of the show with the first six songs having old school roots. The addition of the foxtrot dudes on night shifts was a treat, yet made me wish they could jam some more. The show flowed nicely, dinner last night was a deep track that was nice to hear, Im starting to really like back to one, and Whos Chariot was the highlight for me, love that song and was so glad to hear it at this show. Inside out is definately a solid song, very nice. And was that the first time they went into 2nd half of D Few from a different song rather than city on down? another surprise that was great. Great show, at times I felt the energy of the band was lacking, way off from the spac show this year. but I loved seeing them in this small venue. Crowd around me was excellent and it was nice to just look around at times and see so many happy people. Nice shout out the Program director sign guy, I was hoping theyd get to that one just for you, but they "did that one last night" as Marc said. Great effort for a great song. Until next time... -PhatB September 12, 2012
