Reviews this show was PHENOMENAL, PHAT, and EPIC!! 26 songs strong!! 24 for the main set and 2 for the encore. STELLAR! So stellar and badass when Jon Lampley busted out the tuba during 'Something Coming Over'. Unfortunately the sound crew didnt raise the levels high enough for the deep bass of the tuba but it was really cool to witness it. OAR brought their A-game to SPAC and did not disappoint the crowd at all! Every song they rocked their hardest. Unfortunately, OAR did not sell out SPAC last night...alot of empty seats in the lower level and the upper level had a handful of people. Very disappointing. OAR is a GREAT band! People need to understand their greatness and attend their concerts....especially when their ticket prices are very reasonable (compared to that of DMB).
Furthermore...I taped the show so keep an eye out for my recording. Thanks to all around me for keeping it cool while I taped...except for that chick behind me who loves to scream at every song she was siked to hear. Had to calm her down to restraint jubilation. ;-) GOOD TIMES! I give this year's OAR @ SPAC an A+ across the board. AMEN.
BTW....the IDIOT screaming ONE MORE SONG (you'll hear it on my recording) in the middle of the set - you are clueless sir! please do not attend any more concerts - you're a moron...thank you...mmk? mmbye bye :) -dmbgreystreet05 July 29, 2012
By far the best of the 7 times they have been to SPAC. I couldn't have asked for a better set than this one. No complaints at all! Can't wait to hear the recording :) -Kerri1331 July 29, 2012
ha! who doesnt love the really excited chic on the live recording? eh? eh? Hadn't seen the boys since 2008 and I couldnt have prayed for a better show. Seriously hoping I didnt eff up your hard work and Thanks for what you do. It was fantastic to have the good fortune to be near ya!
The horns on Anyway were sick. Woke up an Uncle was Sweet. Best version of Something Coming Over I can recall ever. The crowd was pretty decent too. Excellent Excellent show. -abbs828 July 29, 2012
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said - this show was beyond incredible and I'm honored to have been there. I still smile when I think about the horns during Anyway. -xedaps July 30, 2012
This show just kept getting better after each song really. Starting out with Mr. Brown(two nights in a row as an opener was a bit unexpected) and straight on through this monsterous set, these dudes came to play. Love, love, love the added horns and hope they are here to stay. They add so much, and sound so great, just pure enjoyment on my end for this show. Nice mix of old and new, the tuba bust out in SCO was tight. The horns in hey girl are excellent. and come on now, a massive 26 song show? Awesome!! after about half way through and looking at the clock I knew this was going to be an evenful night, arent all oar shows? Def my favorite show of my 6. Still holding out for a 52/50 and chariot though. See you at the Calvin. -PhatB August 3, 2012
