Live O.A.R. |
Reviews I love watching O.A.R. live I'll never miss a show when in town. That being said, I was kind of dissappointed with this show. There were too many repeats from the night before. I can understand a couple of repeats, but I just heard the same thing over again. After waiting for hours to see them and I got a pretty redundent setlist, I was dissappointed. Hopefully next time the show will be more spread out. -angeltheone February 1, 2012
This was my first OAR show outside of Ohio & also first show in 5 years. I saw them many times in Columbus from 03-07 & elsewhere, but wasnt into the newer stuff. To me this was an incredible show. I got to hear many of my old favorites & I appreciated the newer stuff more so than previously. To see the band I love playing in a jam-packed HOB in LA, and seeing the crowd belt out the words & groove along just as if I was back in Cbus in 04 -- man it was a treat! Thought they sounded exactly like the Live OAR sound I grew up loving, which was not always the case in this fans opinion during the 06 or more so 07 tours. Loved the show, it took me home, and is one I listen to regularly to the day. Mikel Paris killed it in on the keys, Jerry sounded amazing too. Loved the About An Hour Ago version, Mikel is on fire & City On Down was practically full version w/ great Jerry solo. Poker featured a comical 1 minute of a guest rapper asking the crowd for a couple words that he'd freestyle about & Marc vetoed / changed what was suggested. Hilarious side track that actually flowed well in what was a great 17+ min Poker with long intro & a great vibe / energy. You could tell majority of crowd up close were great fans. -Mbaker1327 May 18, 2016
