Reviews Best concert experience ever! There is no better place I'd rather spend my last night of summer than at an O.A.R. concert. I was front and center, the only down part was one of the security guards couldn't be more in the way for most of the show, and benj seemed a little out of it. But the rest of the band was really electrifying and possitive. They came up near the croud quite a few times too make sure everyone was into the show and it definately worked. Marc came down and shook some hands at the end of the show which was really neat. I got a hand shake and it meant the world to me. King of the Thing was really good to hear. Great opener. Everything else was wonderful. Marc changed up the lyrics on the part when it slows down in City on Down and it was very very good. Patiently and War Song were filled with purpose. Night shift was awesome at the end because everyone thought they were finished after poker but we were proven wrong. From begining to end an amazing concert experience. Thanks guys! -Ladanay04 August 24, 2009
So this had to have been one of the Best setlists... Starting off with King of the Thing was awesome! Def for the TRUE fans, just like on top the cage, risen. Benj really seemed tired or somethin, but he still rocked out on his bass. The Patiently tease before About Mr. Brown was awesome, and then they actually played it which was awesome. The Night Shift surprise after Poker was GREAT!
My only complaint was the crowd... too many little girls there who only knew Shattered and their highschool boyfriends who only know Poker and Hey Girl. Props to all the true OAR fans who showed up in Cary last night. -wiseman2410 August 24, 2009
Best concert I have ever been to! Great setlist, I mean amazing. Every song i watned them to play they played. Loved something coming over and the night shift surprise at the end was fantastic. Didn't like how everyone was singing shatttered and then they just went back to walking in front of everyone in the crowd so you couldn't enjoy the music. Benj looked a bit tired but at times i could see him smiling and enjoying the show. I got a drumstick that Jerry threw out after the acoustic set and that really made the night. I loved the 3 sets. Just amazing. They were great -tman1744 August 24, 2009
I was a bit dissapointed in this show. Last year's Koka Booth show was MUCH better. The whole band seemed to lack any real spark, being led by a zombie in Benj. The setlist was good, loved the opening with King of the Thing and Night Shift was definitely a good send off. I agree with wiseman2410 I think the crowd took something away from the show as well. Too many little girls screaming "Play something I know" and then wetting themselves at Shattered. I don't know about anyone else, but I didn't see Brett's set, and I'm thankful I didn't. He was a poor addition to the O.A.R. set. -manny13 August 25, 2009
