Reviews Great setlist. Travelled from Syracuse University to see them. Nice mixture of old and new. Thought the segue from SITR to Chariot was cool. Lay Down drum special was great as always. The This Town was tweaked a little a bit and it added a little nice touch to it.
On the bad side, there was a lot of crowd surfing. A couple of people threw hats on the stage and Marc and Benj were getting upset. And althuogh i love Benj, he seemed pretty bored and not into the show. Jerry was great as always with some amazing solos. Was happy I was able to see them cause I dont think I could make it to MSG 3.0. -mlbball99 April 27, 2009
really hot inside the ice rink, but even so, Marc was into the show... musically the show was on the mellow, groovy side, and I really dug that vibe... solos were nice, especially Jerry & the drums during "Lay Down" as mlb said...
There were way fewer drunk asses than at Canandaigua '07 or Frontier Field '08 despite Cortland kids partying everywhere, but the crowdsurfing was excessive and uncalled-for...
Cool to see a few older tunes for the first time, and I enjoyed "War Song" along with the current singles. All in all a good time and if I weren't busy at work, I'd love to catch them again this week... -brewdog April 27, 2009
This was my 2nd show and agian it was amazing. the setlist was awesome and I was totally psyched when they played SITR and Whose Chariot and yeah it was a great mixture of new and old songs. I thought War Song was awesome w/ Jerry rockin out on the saxand I especially enjoyed Diner Last Night and Lay Down too.
The crow though wasnt very fun to be in. My 1st show was at Cornell which is much less party oriented than Cortland. I stood in the 2nd row for this show and people were pushing and shoving their way thru the whole time so it got very obnoxius having 5 hours of loud obnoxious drunk college students shoving us around all night. But it was more fun towards the back of the crowd where people were kinda just chillin and havin a good time.
All together I thought it was awesome. Jerry played the solo to Hey Girl right infront of us and it was amazing and I thought the band sounded awesome like always. But yet again I thought that it was an outstanding setlist ,eventhough I was dissapointed thet they didnt play Black Rock, So Moved On or 52-50, but they used the best from All Sides and the best of the rest ,for the most part, too. -Zak5250 April 30, 2009
this was my 4th O.A.R. show to date and every time i see them live i am instantly reminded why they are my favorite band ever. this was probably the best one i've seen so far. it was great venue for me since it's like 5 minutes from my house (but general admission sucks). the set list was awesome; loved hearing the new version of Lay Down live and the transition from SITR to Whose Chariot? was great. all around a pretty solid setlist to me. it was VERY hot there and the crowd surfing was lame but i had a really great view from where i was and it wasn't too crowded. overall best O.A.R. concert i've been to so far and i can't wait to go again :) -andrealynne28 May 1, 2009
The show was amazing. The list was great, best set that I've ever heard them play. From the first note of Night Shift to the last one of About Mr. Brown loved every second of it. Lay Down was sick, glad they played War Song too. Wish someone got a recording of the show because it was sick. -IGillis22 May 3, 2009
