Reviews Short show. OAR only played for 90 minutes because Phillip Phillips ran over his allotted time by 35+ minutes and chastain has a hard curfew/power off at 11PM on the dot. The band finished at exactly 10:59:59. Dave Eggar also played the cello on "Peace," making for an excellent rendition. -willki July 28, 2014 Ditto to what was already said. Phillip Phillips was great, but he did play an extra one or two songs. I don't think he even ended until 9:15. Who knows, I'd bet O.A.R. told him he was welcome to pump out one or two extra songs. Because of this, OAR was on at 9:30 and certainly had to rush the set. Not much banter really towards the crowd. And as can be seen from the setlist, they played almost exclusively what can be considered "the hits". No deep tracks or surprises. Can't complain but its hard not to compare it to the 26 song set from the Tabernacle last year that was awesome. Agree that the cello on Peace was great and I'm surprised how much I've come to enjoy the song live. But in my opinion, if OAR is going to play for 90 minutes, it'd be nice of them to NOT put in Shattered, Hey Girl, Heaven, Love and Memories, and Peace and try and fit those 5 in. 2 or 3 singles is more than enough in a show in my opinion. Overall, they sounded great and I still had a great time. Just my 2 cents. -DubyaSnipes August 1, 2014 | ||||||||||
