Reviews This show had a pretty unexpected setlist given the last few shows. Untitled as the opener was awesome and KOTT and Lay Down to follow were a great 3. It was pretty slow at some points during the show, especially during Nasim Joon, but Anyway had the sickest jam I have heard them play in the 8 shows I have been to. There were a lot of people sitting which was kind of disappointing and I would have liked to see Whose Chariot, but all in all it was a great show as usual -rappaOAR April 23, 2008 It was great seeing the guys again and they really sounded on last night. Jerry's sax solo during anyway was absolutely incredible, he stayed away from making it scream like he normally does and made it smooth and almost jazzy. I wasn't really a fan of lay down, wonderful day and program director right in a row but oh well. Marc's freestyle during untitled was awesome and that was the best version of I feel home I've seen yet, they teased redemption song again. i was extremely disappointed with the crowd, during KOTT and So Moved On it seemed like they were bored. Overall I thought the set list was mediocre, especially compared to the past few days sets. Ive seen 8 shows and of the 8 i would have to say this is one of the bottom two shows, if not the worst show but to end on a positive note, I was extemely happy to hear So Moved On. And fuck wendy's -tfcolucci April 23, 2008 Great show, it felt like they played a million songs for some reason so that was a good feeling. Always sucks to see those lame D bags that just sit on their ass the entire show and only jump up when poker comes on....that always bothers me. The guy next to me didn't know the city on down intro and he asked what the song was and I told him, and he said he didn't like that song. I was like WTF how do you not like city on down, but he was one of those D bags there just for poker. It was cool to see them open with Untitled and KOTT, always love to here KOTT live. Really glad to hear program director live haven't had that honor yet, and a little bummed they ended with poker. But great show can't wait to see them in Memphis in a couple weeks! -programstranger April 23, 2008 This show was practically in my backyard compared to the other shows I've seen by them. Assembly Hall is about three miles from my apartment. We had a great time at the show! The setlist included many of their lesser-known songs, which is a good thing for me. I like their new album, but I'm a big fan of the older songs. I was hoping for Road Outside Columbus. We could see the playlist and they switched from playing About an Hour Ago to playing Love and Memories right before the end... we were a little bummed, but they brought the house down regardless! They are amazing live! We also loved Parker House and Theory! -ifeelhome82 April 23, 2008 7th show altogether, crowd seemed out of it, and i was let down...oh well, keep jammin -Shegone24 April 23, 2008 This was my third O.A.R. show, and it ranks a solid second on the list of shows. I agree with the other posters that the crowd was little out of it. I attribute that to the opening band. I almost left before O.A.R. took the stage. O.A.R. on the other hand did a great job. I thought the solos were incredibly excellent and, unlike the last time I saw them, not just mere replaying of the last live album. I was really disappointed not to hear About Mr. Brown, as was most of the crowd (lots of yelling out for it). The Nasim Joon transition to Hey Girl was great, and I didn't see it coming at all. All in all, a really great show. -thoppa April 24, 2008 This show was really great.. it seemed like they played all of their best songs..about an hour a go would of been a great to hear instead love and memories but that was good for all of the fans...i have to give a shout out to Andy Wesby form Parker House and Theory...you were sick on the harmonica..and O.A.R you were tite as always. jeri killed it on the sax solo during anyway and marc had some good things to say.. -CODOI April 24, 2008 alright this show was amazing...the set list was unexpected and such a great variety. i was right up in front and the fans were pretty weak...only singing to crazy game and love&memories...sad. but its all good, it was a good time. richies solo during crazy game was incredible and so was jerrys during anyway...i was really hoping for about an hour ago MSG style..maybe next time. my friend totally called nasim joon into hey girl, it was insane. and i definitely teared up during so moved on..sooooo glad they played that it was amazingggg. oh and opening with untitled?! who would have thought, it was sweet...that set list just kept getting better. wow what a show...and the fact that i met them before the show made it so much better. summerfest back to back will be insane...and up at northerly island. cant wait. oh and marc...should be a therapist or something...love him -meldunn_oar April 27, 2008 | ||||||||||
